Everything you should know before making a tax-deductible pledge.
Tax deductibility
The Cavett Elementary PTO is a parent-run nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution unless stated at the time of giving. Our tax identification number is available on request. Please contact the PTO before claiming a deduction, and consult your tax advisor.
Receipts & refunds
A confirmation is provided for every pledge submitted on this site, and a written acknowledgement is available on request for gifts of $250 or more. Gifts are generally non-refundable. If a pledge was entered in error, contact the PTO and we will correct or refund it.
Use of funds
Contributions support Cavett Elementary students and staff through PTO-funded programs such as field trips, playground and classroom needs, supplies, and teacher appreciation. The PTO board directs funds where the need is greatest. Gifts are not earmarked to an individual student or classroom.
Privacy
Information you submit — name, email, optional student name and grade, and your message — is used only to record and acknowledge your gift and to report fundraising totals. We do not sell or rent donor information. Student names are never published without permission. Public displays show grade-level totals only. Email the PTO to review, correct, or remove your information.
Affiliation
This site is operated by the Cavett Elementary PTO, an independent volunteer organization. It is not an official site of Cavett Elementary School or Lincoln Public Schools, and it is not operated or endorsed by the district.
