Questions

Everything families ask about our PTO fundraisers.

Does my child have to raise money to participate?+

No. Every Cavett student takes part in PTO events regardless of donations. Participation is always free.

Can out-of-town relatives donate?+

Yes — that's the point of the online pledge page. Share the link and anyone in the country can give.

Where does the money go?+

The Cavett Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) board approves the budget publicly. Funds cover school field trips, new playground equipment, classroom supplies, and technology.

Is my donation tax-deductible?+

Yes. The Cavett Elementary PTO is a nonprofit organization, and your pledge is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive an emailed receipt with the PTO's nonprofit details right after you pledge.

How often does the PTO fundraise?+

About three or four pushes a year. Each one has its own goal and end date, and the current campaign is always what you see on the home page.

How can I volunteer?+

The PTO needs help with events, setup crews, and teacher meals. Reach out at a monthly PTO meeting or through the school office.
